90's and 00's dance music re-hashed

The 1990's a brilliant decade full of exciting fashion, advances in technology and dance music. A superb new sound that started to take shape in the late 80's, but really blossomed in the 90's.

 I was lucky enough to grow up in the 90's and was exposed to these brilliant tracks, that made dance-floors shake. Although I wasn't old enough to go to the nightclubs and experience it first hand until the late 90's.

The great music continued into the early 2000's with bouncy funky house music still being commercially vibrant. Garage and Trance had set a generation on fire too.

My latest mix features modern day re-takes of some of  the 90's and 00's dance anthems. The tracks in this mix are either cover shots, remixes or tracks that contain samples, from that golden era of dance music. Hence the name Re-Hashed.

So come on, let's rave. I hope you enjoy the mood I've tried to set here and recapture some of that dance music vibe.

So hi, how are you? Another week has past and we are already looking at the end of January. Gosh how time flies.

Again I've got a little extra mix to share with you. Hence the name 'Xtra'. Like I've said in a previous post, these extra mixes are basically recordings away from my big showcase mix, that I upload 1st of every month. These extra mixes are just recordings I've done while practising and trying things out.

This recording features some fantastic deep & tech house. Big tunes from 'MK' and 'Sonny Fodera' but also some underground tracks that have caught my attention.

I do hope you enjoy the rhythms and rolling bass-lines, that come with a good deep & tech house set.

Again I've used my trusty 'Numark' DJ controller in this recording and 'Traktor Pro 2'.

Hi hope I find you well.

Thought I'd take the time out to introduce you to another new mix series I've been uploading recently.

This one is called 'Xtra'..
It's basically just extra sets I record while I'm trying out new stuff. Mainly the more underground styles I like.

So expect to hear deep, dark and off the beaten path style mixes featuring deep house, tech house and techno.

This mix, recorded on 17th January 2016, features tech house and techno sounds. That I received via promos from the record labels and artists themselves.

Xciting Vibez - January 2016

New year, new series. This one is called Xciting Vibez! It's going to be a monthly magazine of exciting music.

Be it deep, progressive, tech or any other genre of house, if it's exciting to me, I'm going to include it in the session.

January's recording features some old and new tunes, starting with tech house in a warm-up session, before switching gears with some pumping future, electro and progressive house.
